Ahoy, mateys! Halloween is making waves at Stowe!

Gather your crew, put on your favorite costume and set sail for Bootanical: Stowe at Sea, a family-friendly Halloween celebration with pirates, sea creatures and plenty of adventures to discover along the way.

This year, Bootanical is heading for the high seas with a swashbuckling new theme! Young buccaneers can meet and interact with a live pirate entertainer and get a fun balloon animal or temporary tattoo, test their sea legs with free play in nature, and come dressed in festive costumes for a day of adventure at Stowe. (Themed costumes are extra fun, but any and all costumes are welcome for adventurers of all ages!)

Kids can also stop by our face painting vendor (fees apply) for a new look, and dive into hands-on crafts and activities inspired by the ocean and all the mysterious creatures that might be lurking beneath the waves. Parents can grab a seasonal drink at one of our Stowe bars and enjoy the day of play. Food trucks will be on site with hot food options, and there will be grab-and-go treats in our Big Leaf Café.

Spend the day in our Lost Hollow Children's Garden, where families can browse our whimsical gallery of scarecrows in this year's Scarecrow Hollow! And little pirates or mermaids will love to meet Lottie, our brand-new underwater friend! Lottie is a massive squid made of recycled materials, and she is an art piece kids can interact with. Find her beside our Sunken Pond and welcome the newest creature to call Lost Hollow home!

Then, little adventurers will find their own stories and chances to play all along our Adventure Trail, concluding with our amazing kid-approved Prairie Castle Playground.
