Nature's Food Web Detectives - Grade 4 + 5

DATE: Wednesday 10/7/26   TIME: 9:30am - 11:30am

Wednesday, October 7 | 9:30-11:30 a.m. | $15 | Grades 4 + 5

In this hands-on outdoor adventure led by our Environmental Educators, students become food web detectives exploring who eats whom in nature and the necessary roles producers, consumers and decomposers perform. By investigating how plants, animals, fungi and other organisms act in their environment, students will uncover how energy and nutrients move through that ecosystem. Using investigative science, they will explore how a successful network between food web organisms illustrates the interdependence of each, and the consequences as organisms change or disappear.

Students will understand how producers, consumers and decomposers function together as they engage within a food web and why each group is essential in maintaining their ecosystem.
